Indoor bowls

Phoenix Camping Club members always find something to do if the weather does not allow outdoor activities whilst camping. At a meet in February this year, where 16 members camped, we unfortunately had one very rainy day so a game of indoor bowls was quickly organised.

Others helped to complete a very large jigsaw and all of us went by minibus, supplied by the pub, for a very enjoyable meal together.

The Phoenix Camping Club was set up 11 years ago to cater for single, widowed or divorced people who want to camp but also wanted the company of people in similar circumstances to themselves. We have gone from strength to strength and now have members all over the UK.

Our meets are put on by members for the benefit of members, some lasting just a few days while others last a week touring different parts of the country.

We are a friendly crowd who will do our best to make sure everyone is included in everything we do, although there is no pressure to join in if you want to do your own thing whilst on site.

Our next National  Meet will be held at Stratford from  24th September - 1st October 2012. Our AGM will be held during this meet.
